Leaving Singapore? WHY?

Standard

Ever since I tell people about my plan to move out of Singapore, they started asking me what i think about the country. Why I wanted to move out. They know me well enough to see that I have amazing friends here (as amazing as friends back home), but they wanted to know why I decided to move out anyway.

And today i found this article, which basically sums up the reasons why I don’t really like this country.

Don’t get me wrong. I am grateful for all the convenience that I have enjoyed in Singapore. I am grateful for all the money they paid me for contributing towards their national income. I am not an ungrateful bitch.

But I guess Singapore is just not for me. Maybe it is like meeting a guy who’s perfect by the book, but while he’s reliable, he’s too reserved, too restricted and too bland – and I can’t imagine of spending the rest of my life with him.

Check this article. Feel free to disagree. We probably disagree just because we are two different people who have different likes and dislikes.🙂

Iya sik, soal sensor sih lebih longgar ya. Gue lama-lama sik udah nggak ngeh lagi mana yang harusnya disensor mana yang nggak, jadinya nggak ngaruh ahahahaha

  1. Ha! Setuju membosankan. Gue malah lebih suka KL karena masih mirip Jakarta tapi lebih teratur, bersih dan harga2 lebih murah (sementara orang2 yg tau gue beberapa kali ke situ malah heran: emang apa yang diliat? :p). Mungkin juga faktor teh tarik, sih. Hahaha. Tapi ya emang beda2 sih ya, kalau gue wartawan musik mungkin malah seneng ditempatin di SG. Hehe.

Anyway, jadi inget dulu pas lagi merencanakan masa depan (hayah!) sama Victor, dia ogah kl mesti kerja dan tinggal di SG. Katanya, “Kayak rumahsakit!”😀

KL itu rasanya kayak KW-nya Singapore gitu, it’s like they’re imitating Singapore a lot – which is probably not a bad thing🙂 I personally don’t like KL so much. But maybe because I haven’t visited the city, like, properly😀

Singapore is VERY GOOD place if you want to accumulate money. Travel expenses make more sense – trip ke Vietnam bisa aja dianggap sebagai random weekend getaway yang hampir bisa dilakukan kapan aja (karena ini juga gue belum sempet-sempet ke sana hahaha), sedangkan kalau di Jakarta itu udah dianggap trip semi-gede. Rent mahal sik, but the rest have cheaper alternatives.
Tapi setaun di sini sik belum gede ya tabungannya. Gue sik kebanyakan baru ngelunasin semua cicilan dan utang, terus tabungan malah dipake traveling mulu ahahahah😀

      • yes gw liat lo menikmati sekali bisa traveling kemana2 selama di SG, how I envy you!

beda sama temen gw itu yg males kemana-mana, wiken cuma di kamar doang selama 4 tahun, gimana bisa betah? hahaha *gemes sendiri*

    *diperjelas*
    *ditoyor suami*

IYAAAAA after a while you just feel like you’re running out of places to go. Tapi pas mutusin pindah kemarin, baru ngeh sih, belum sempet ke Singapore Zoo/Night Safari, ke River Safari (yang belum grand opening juga sikkk), ke Haw Par Villa .. kemana lagi ya .. *eh kok banyak* *jadi setaun ngapain aja ciiiit* ahahahah
